Overview
See how your check-in times, cancellation policy, Instant Book, and other key settings stack up against competing listings. Policy Suggestions, inside the Optimization Hub, gives you a clear breakdown of where you stand against the competition and a prioritized list of changes to make your listing more competitive.
This matters because guests compare listings side by side. If most properties in your area offer a Moderate cancellation policy and yours is Strict, you're at a disadvantage you may not even know about. Policy & Setting Suggestions make the gaps visible so you can fix them.
How to Open Policy & Setting Suggestions
Go to Your Listings in Rankbreeze.
Click the Optimization button on the listing you want to review. This opens the Optimization Hub for that listing.
In the left sidebar, click Policy Suggestions.
Tip: Policy & Setting Suggestions works as soon as you've added a listing — whether you added it with your Airbnb host profile URL or through the Airbnb integration.
What Rankbreeze Compares
Rankbreeze compares six policies and settings, showing your current value side by side with what the majority of your competitors are doing:
Check-in & Check-out times — Earlier check-ins and later check-outs are more guest-friendly. You'll see what percentage of competitors use the most common times in your area.
Cancellation policy — Compared on Airbnb's spectrum from Flexible (most guest-friendly) to Super Strict 60 Days. You'll see the two most popular policies among your competitors.
Instant Book — Whether Instant Book for all guests is turned on, and how many competitors have it enabled.
Pet allowance — Whether pets are allowed, compared against pet-friendly demand in your area.
Show exact location — Whether your exact location is visible to guests, and how many competitors show theirs.
Host profile — Whether your host profile photo is set. Profiles with photos perform better with guests.
What the Results Mean
Each setting is color-coded so you can scan the page and spot problems quickly. Click "What do the colors mean?" at the top of the page anytime for a reminder.
Green — Your setting is highly competitive and guest-friendly, matching or beating what most competitors offer.
Orange — Your setting is less flexible or competitive than surrounding listings. It can be improved.
Red — Your setting is at a competitive disadvantage and needs improvement to help increase bookings — for example, having Instant Book turned off when most competitors have it on.
Recommended Improvements
If any of your settings are orange or red, a Recommended improvements checklist appears at the bottom of the page. This is your prioritized to-do list — each item tells you exactly what to change, like "Change your Cancellation policy to Moderate or lower."
If every setting is green, no checklist appears — that means your policies are already competitive.
Where Your Comparison Data Comes From
Rankbreeze builds your comparison from one of two competitor sets:
Surrounding listings — Properties around yours, filtered by property type. This is used when you've added your listing with your Airbnb host profile URL.
Airbnb Similar Listings — The competitors Airbnb itself matches to your listing. This is used automatically once you've connected your Airbnb account, and it's the most accurate competitor set available.
For the best suggestions, connect your Airbnb account. Rankbreeze will switch your comparison to Airbnb's own Similar Listings — the same competitors Airbnb shows next to your property.
How Often Your Data Updates
Your comparison refreshes automatically every week, alongside your competitor data.
You can also trigger an update anytime using the refresh button on your listing.
The date your data was last refreshed is shown on the page, so you always know how current your comparison is.
